The heat of the sun invites us to begin the season of lunches out in the yard. A “rosa banksiaerose” commonly known as “Lady Banks’ Rose bush” illuminates the corner where the table is set up to eat outside.

May is the month of strawberries, asparagus, lettuce, and the first zucchini that grow in the greenhouse of my house. The peas are so sweet during this month that they are delicious even to eat raw as they people from Finland do who sell them in paper bags on the streets of Helsinki just like we sell roasted chestnuts in our cities.
